Also called Disthene, the name kyanite is derived from Greek word kyanos which means 'blue'. Being a rare gemstone and also brittle in appearance.

According to Metaphysical belief, Kyanite is a stone of channeling, altered states, vivid dreams, dream recall, and visualizations. If you're having trouble remembering your dreams, wear Kyanite to sleep or place under your pillow.

It also aligns, activates and balances all chakra's, (often very suddenly with little conscious direction). Kyanite enhances creative expression. It facilitates astral/interdimentional travel. Chakra(s): throat, third eye.

It brings loyalty, honesty and tranquility, and diminishes anger and confusion. Kyanite (much like Citrine and Labradorite,) does not retain negative energy and never needs energetic cleansing plus its good to wear Kyanite around negative situations due to this fact.

This necklace is 18" long, the sea foam color fresh water pearls have been individually knotted on aqua silk cord. The clasp and clam shell knot covers are both sterling silver.  There is a tiny tag engraved with my initials on one side and "925" stamped on the other. Hanging from the tag is a matching pearl.

The kyanite pendant is 1.75" long with a wonderful smooth surface.
