Re-wirered for safety sake with a new pull chain socket this great lamp has stood the test of time. I have no idea how old it is, and in case your wondering why I call it a Sam Spade lamp, it's because it reminds me of the sets of those old detective stories. 

The picture to the center is to show that it's working,  sorry, bulb is not included. It stands around 17" high including the brass finial. This lamp was originally painted brown that is why you can see bits of brown paint in the wooden center pieces. I couldn't get it out then decided I didn't want to, because it lends to the effect of the splatter terecotta and peach spray paint I used on the shade and base.

The inside of the shade has been repainted silver. The bulb cover is the original aluminum.

Too add to this lamp I signed it on the bottom with my initial logo.
